10.7 Recording Specifications for i-Trigger
This section explains the recording specifications for i-Trigger. The recording specifications are somewhat complex, so please refer to this section if you want to review the details.
10.7.1 When only Start Event is configured in Event Trigger#
When only the start event is configured in an event trigger, the record interval is considered as follows.
Pattern 1

- Basic record time is set to 0 minutes.
- Specify 5 seconds for the range to be collected before the event occurs and 5 seconds for the range to be collected after the event ends, respectively.
- The start event condition will not be satisfied consecutively unless the condition is satisfied once as a Raise and then the condition will no longer be satisfied.
The range recorded in this pattern is the Event Record Range (blue background section). Since the record time before and after the event occurs is set to 5 seconds, the event is recorded for approximately 10 seconds.
Pattern 2

- Basic record time is set to 1 minute.
- Specify 0 seconds for the range to be collected before the event occurs and 0 seconds for the range to be collected after the event ends, respectively.
- The start event condition will not be satisfied consecutively unless the condition is satisfied once as a Raise and then the condition will no longer be satisfied.
The range recorded in this pattern is the Event Record Range (blue background section). The event record range is approximately 1 minute after the event occurred.
Pattern 3

- Basic record time is set to 1 minute.
In this case, the event record time is approximately 70 seconds, since the range before and after the event occurs is recorded in addition to the basic record time.
Pattern 4 (Event Extension)

- Basic record time is set to 1 minute.
- Specify 5 seconds for the range to be collected before the event occurs and 5 seconds for the range to be collected after the event ends, respectively.
- The start event condition will not be satisfied consecutively unless the condition is satisfied once as a Raise and then the condition will no longer be satisfied.
- Thirty seconds after the first event is established, the event is established again.
The range recorded in this pattern is the Event Record Range (blue background section). If the event occurs again in the section of the basic record time, the event is extended. In this case, the section in which the first event is established is 30 seconds, +and the basic record time (60 seconds) after the second event is established, +and 10 seconds before and after the occurrence, thus the event record time is approximately 100 seconds.
Event Extension
There is a maximum limit of 15 minutes for extending an event. If an event is extended for 15 minutes or longer, the subsequent event is recorded as a new event.
Event Condition Type
For all of the events described so far, the condition type of the event is Raise. In this case, the condition is satisfied when the value raises, so the behavior of the pattern is as described. Note that if you have set the condition type to True or some other condition, the event will always be extended while the condition is satisfied.
10.7.2 When Start Event and End Event are configured respectively in Event Trigger#
When a start event and an end event are configured respectively in an event trigger, the record interval is considered as follows. Basically, it is not much different from the case where only the start event is configured.
Pattern 5

- Basic record time is set to 1 minute.
- Specify 10 seconds for the range to be collected before the event occurs and 5 seconds for the range to be collected after the event ends.
- The start event condition and end event condition will not be satisfied consecutively unless the conditions are satisfied once as a Raise and then the conditions will no longer be satisfied.
- Thirty seconds after the start event is established, the end event is established.
The range recorded in this pattern is the Event Record Range (blue background section). In addition to the 10 seconds before the event occurs +and the 5 seconds after it ends, the time from the start of the event to its end is 30 seconds, thus the event record time is approximately 45 seconds. Since the end event is established before the basic record time is reached, the record time is less than 1 minute.
Pattern 6

- Basic record time is set to 1 minute.
- Specify 10 seconds for the range to be collected before the event occurs and 5 seconds for the range to be collected after the event ends.
- The start event condition and end event condition will not be satisfied consecutively unless the conditions are satisfied once as a Raise and then the conditions will no longer be satisfied.
- The end event has not been established even after 1 minute has elapsed after the start event is established.
The range recorded in this pattern is the Event Record Range (blue background section). In addition to the 10 seconds before the event occurs +and the 5 seconds after it ends, time elapses from the start of the event until the basic record time is reached, thus the event record time is approximately 75 seconds. Since the end event has not been established within the basic record time, the record is aborted. In this case, the end event is ignored even if it is established after the record interval has been exceeded.
Pattern 7 (Event Extension)

- Basic record time is set to 1 minute.
- Specify 10 seconds for the range to be collected before the event occurs and 5 seconds for the range to be collected after the event ends.
- The start event condition and end event condition will not be satisfied consecutively unless the conditions are satisfied once as a Raise and then the conditions will no longer be satisfied.
- Thirty seconds after the start event is established, the start event is established again, and after 35 seconds have elapsed from the time of the establishment, the end event is established.
The range recorded in this pattern is the Event Record Range (blue background section). In addition to the 10 seconds before the event occurs +and the 5 seconds after it occurs, time elapses for 30 seconds in the section where the first event is established, and an additional 35 seconds after the second event is established, thus the event record time is approximately 80 seconds. Since the start event is established again within the basic record time, the basic record time is extended.
